About Me

My photo
I enjoy long walks on the beach, lol. haha! That is not how I'm starting my about me section. I love big cities and I'm glad to be alive. I love love although it disapoints sometimes but every heartache ends with a lesson that we either take as experience or regret. I'm a very complex person beyond the simple facade. Get to know me! It'll be a ride!

My Fairytale

If I could pick a fairytale and make it come true, I would definitely pick Cinderella. I wouldn't choose it because it's the most common and recognized story in the planet, but because at the end of the hardest days of my life would be a prince that comes to save me. I would be rescued from all the things that have harmed me from the start. After going through many challenges it's only fair that there's a treat at the end of the tunnel and having a prince would make any girl happy.

Teaching Someone

If I could teach a person something, it would be speaking Spanish, because I'm fluent in it. I would prefer to teach my little brother because although he is 100% hispanic and is forced to speak Spanish at home, he isn't very good at it. He mixes many English words with small Spanish words, which is why I am the home translator. A lot of the time my mom and dad won't understand what he's saying unless he's speaking English all the way, so they ask me what he said and it's very agravating that I'm the only one who can peice it all together.

The Best Summer

The best summer that I have ever had was when I was thirteen. My family and I lived in Roanoke, Virginia, a town that was a slightly bigger city than Monroe. We decided to visit our extended family in New York and after that we were to go to Orlando, Florida to visit Disney World. When we were staying in New York, my cousins and I thought it would be a marvelous idea if they tagged along on our family roadtrip. After New York we all drove to Jacksonville, Florida to visit some more family and stayed in a spacious hotel. We left for Orlando and stayed there for a few days and then headed back home to Virginia in order for my parents and I to pack up to move to Louisiana. My cousins and I went to downtown Roanoke on the last night in town and we all had fun sharing stories and laughing at one another. The very next day we all left a town together to go in seperate directions. They went back to New York City and my family and I left to go to a place that I had never visited.

Increased Life Expectancy

I believe that increased life expectancy is both a blessing and a curse. It would be a blessing because we would have more to live for and more things to achieve in our lives. One hundred years isn't enough for me to fulfill all of my dreams and if I had more time then I would have my heart set on a great amount of dreams.

The reason that life expectancy is a curse is because we may not appreciate the greater amount of time that we have to live. Instead of doing great things with our lives, we may grow up thinking that when we get older we can be better people but until that time we can be as bad as we want.

Bellybutton Lint

If I saw that my friend had bellybutton lint I would laugh really hard, therefore exposing the lint in their bellybutton. My guess is that it's difficult to gather lint in ones bellybutton, which is why I would tell my friend about the lint. It would be very impressive to have bellybutton lint so I would love to know how it got there.

Grandparent's Attic

If I discovered a hidden trunk in my grandparent's attic, I would love to find pictures of their lives when they were younger so that I would know that they could still relate to my life now. It would help me understand them better than before, because I would know that they once did things that I may do now with my friends. I'd love to hear stories about them in which I could empathize with them.

Life on Other Planets

As funny as it may seem to some people, I do believe that there is life in other planets. It's one of those things that you just have to believe without proof. I think that anything is possible and there's no doubt about it. I will stand by my word when I say that there are tiny creatures in Mars right now that are probably asking themselves if there is life in other planets, and some of them might be like me and believe that there are little people like me with the same assumption. Many things can't be proved, but anything can be possible.

Someone I love...

One of the most important people in my life is my friend Rachal. We have fought a couple of times and we always move past our obstacles and come back to each other, because we have realized that our friendship is more important than not having it at all. Her personality is straight forward but loving. This will make her a great mother one day. The way in which she can tell you that you are wrong, but know that she still loves you and be there for you every step of the way. She is fun to be around and she's great at diffusing situations.

Success

Being successful means that you paved your own way through life to find a place and state of mind in which you are completely satisfied. It doesn't mean that you have to achieve riches and fame, but rather when a person is more than content with what they have. Success isn't something that can be reached without trying, it's striving to stay successful and getting there. It can easily go away if you are careless.

Worst Habit

My worst habit is that I bite my nails! It has gotten so bad that even if I'm just watching a movie, my hands are on autopilot. I have gone through stages in which I've stopped biting my nails, but unaware of it all, I may sit down to watch movies and my instinctive habit is to put my nails in my hands and start biting. I have given up, but if there was some way that I could stop, I would be the first to do it.

Too Much in a Charity

I don't believe that a charity can have too much money to help, but I do believe that once the charity has enough for themselves then they should share with other charities, because it's not fair that other charities are unrecognized and may be important, but yet they may have insignificant funds.

Jury of Peers

If I committed a crime, I wouldn't want to stand in front of a jury of peers because my crime or crimes are none of their business. It would be embarrasing for everyone to know what I've done wrong, and then they would act as if they were perfect. It would just not be fair at all.

Driving risks

I think that young people take risks when they drive because they are living in the spur of the moment and aren't focused on what's going to happen. Some of us are careless but it doesn't mean we don't care, we just try to show off our dangerous streak by risking ourselves in a way that is most reachable. I don't think that it matters that fifteen to twenty-five years old makes a difference on a persons driving, because it takes emotional and personal growth in order for someone to be a safe driver.

Monroe Luxuries

If this town were under siege, I think that the luxuries to be gone quickly would be fashionable clothes and spas, because there aren't many spas and fashionable clothes are only found at the mall and a very small amount of boutiques that we have around the are. The luxury that I would miss the most would be fashionable clothes, for the simple fact that I like to look decent. In order to get this special treat, I would pay as much as one pay check or something similar to that. Sometimes it's good to treat yourself no matter the cost, as long as you don't go overboard.

Shaming

If I had the option to go to jail or wear a sign that explained what I was convicted for I would wear the sign. One of the reasons that I would wear the sign is because I wouldn't want to live in a place where only bad people stayed. It would probably encourage me to become a better person and to appreciate the good things. I believe that everyone has issues and convictions which is why I wouldn't mind wearing my personal problem. The only difference between me and another person would be that I was caught in the act, while they haven't yet. I'd prefer to wear a sign rather than go to jail.

Illegal Immigrants

I don't think that America can get rid of all illegal immigrants because they are everywhere. If there's a chance that they can be sent away then it would take a long time. There are many reasons that immigrants risk it all to come to the United States of America. One of the many reasons is that they are looking for a better life and they may not have anything close to a good life where they're from which is probably why they aren't afraid of taking a chance. Another reason is that they are more than likely trying to make things better for their family. I believe that sometimes people have to do what they have to do.

Principal

If I had a chance to be principal for a day, I would make school more fun so that students actually wanted to come to school rather than skipping it. I wouldn't let the teachers give homework for that day and instead let the students decide what they wanted to do. Each class would decide on going on a field trip somewhere for the day. I know that it's unrealistic, but if I could be principle for the day, I would make it a great day.

Fast Food Restaurant

If I worked at a fast food restaurant and my friends came in wanting food, I would first ask the manager if they could at least get a discount and if not then I would make them pay the cost of food. My conscience would be filled if I let them get away without paying and I knew it was wrong. I wouldn't give them free food because it's a form of stealing and stealing isn't right. I also wouldn't want to lose my manager's trust and I wouldn't want to be fired.

Worst Work

If I had to explain the worst work experience that I have ever had, it would be cleaning houses. That used to be what my mom did for a living and I would tag along with her. It wasn't too bad unless the houses were a complete disastrous mess. I remember having to clean a small house that didn't seem to difficult, but the bathrooms were old and moldy. The bedrooms had carpet and on the carpet was a great amount of dirt all the time. The older couple who lived there would always leave candy wrappers on the bed and plates with food lying around. That had to be one of the worst experiences that I've ever had.

Important Invention

The most important invention that we have had thus far is the computer and internet. In our society, business is everything and we barely have time to waste. Any second that we can use to get ahead at something is crucial and that is where computers come in. They help us get things done faster and lead to quick discoveries because of other people's ideas. It helps us stay communicated with people around the world. Computers have helped us become more successful at all types of work.

Tattoo

About a year ago, I decided that I wanted a tattoo to show my individuality although the tattoo that I want can't be seen unless I wear a bathing suit. I found a music symbol with a peace sign inside the heart and that's what I want to get when I'm eighteen. I want the placement to be on my lower abdomen for my own viewing. I have also thought about it being on my wrist or foot. I'm not quite sure but that's the tattoo that I've been longing for.

Smoking

Many people keep smoking long after they know the affects of the drug. It can give them cancer and any other sickness. Even after they know this it takes alot for them to quit smoking, because it's something that they're used to and it has become a habit. It's something that they do to fill the time and when there isn't anything else to do.

Fireworks

When I hear fireworks, I think of explosions and people laughing during summer.
It reminds me of last summer. Our family had a cook-out with all their friends and my friends. We had an awesome time! Later that afternoon, I decided that we needed fireworks to make the night feel great. Me, my dad, and my friend Rachal went to the nearest fireworks seller and bought two bags full of different fireworks. It was very fun when we got home and we all started fireworks. I even took pictures because it felt necessary. Fireworks remind me of cozy summer afternoons with family and friends.

Charity

I have been involved with Invisible Children, a charity which helps to free African kids from being forced into war. I have been to a presentation but I've never given money because I never have enough, but when I start giving, it will be that charity, because it's important for a child to have a childhood and not sadistic warfare.
It is always better to give than recieve because it opens doors that you didn't know were there. If you're casually handing out little gifts from time to time, people will feel appreciated and you are more likely to be appreciated as well.

License to Have Children

I don't believe that all American people who have children have to be certified or licensed in some way. It would be best for a parent to have a career and be certified in something but that isn't necessary to raise good children. I don't think that we should try to limit how many children a couple have. If we start doing that, it would be chaos for the people all over the states. It's also not the correct thing to do because there are religions in which a follower can't control how many children they have, and that would be like taking the freedom of religion to those specific religions.

Etiquette

Five things that a person might do to display a lack of etiquette or good manners are: Grabbing food to eat, when it can be eaten with a fork or spoon, making a girl open her own door on a first date, shaking someone's hand when you meet them for the first time is important, slouching when having a meal is unacceptable, sitting straight is the propper way.
If I had a friend that was grabbing food with their hands and not using their fork, I would let them know that they looked messy and they needed to eat correctly, but I would be afraid to show them because I don't want to seem like a know-it-all.
If a guy didn't open the door for me I wouldn't mind too much, but I would be a bit disapointed.
Not shaking someone's hand is a sign of low self-esteem and it could make anyone look rude by not shaking someone's hand when meeting a new person.
Once again, it looks like low self esteem when you don't have direct eye contact slouching down. If my friend was doing that, I would discreetly let her know.
