About Me

- Jenessy
- I enjoy long walks on the beach, lol. haha! That is not how I'm starting my about me section. I love big cities and I'm glad to be alive. I love love although it disapoints sometimes but every heartache ends with a lesson that we either take as experience or regret. I'm a very complex person beyond the simple facade. Get to know me! It'll be a ride!

Henry David Thoreau
I am an individual from my friends, because I'm hispanic. It's not because of a difference of race, but rather a difference of culture. I may have different dinners than they do, and listen to different music. Being of hispanic culture puts me at many differences against those who aren't hispanic. I am extremely proud of my differences and my friends accept me just the way I am.
The Fad
A fad that was very popular about two or three years ago was the colorful jeans. The type that was worn in the 80's and 90's. People would wear them in yellow, blue, pink, and other colors. I still own an acid wash hot pink pair of skinny jeans, but I haven't worn them since about a year ago, because I don't want to stand out too much. People are rarely seen out with these jeans, but occasionally someone is always bold.
Family
If I had to raise children the obvious place would be in the country, because it's where less trouble could happen, but I would choose to raise them in the city. I would raise my kids in the city, because I would want them to have as many experiences as they could. I would want them to learn how to make wise decisions for themselves, that could prepare them for the future ahead of them. If they chose the wrong decisions then I would definitely threaten to send them somewhere else, but I believe that the right amount of freedom can make a child responsible. The city would also open up more opportunities for them.
Pet Peeves
One of my pet peeves is simply being near a chalk board. It can also be described as paranoia. Whenever I'm near a chalkboard, I feel as if at any given moment anyone can come and scratch it. Everything about a chalkboard scares me, because of the loud screeching sound that brings everything to a halt and my hands to my ears. Chalkboard scratching gives me goosebumps and a headache that never stops. Once this happens, I am alert and paranoid for the rest of the day.
Divorce
Divorce is an easy solution to any problem, but it's for the people who are afraid to deal with problems that have a solution. There are cases in which divorce is necessary in order to keep moving forth, such as a relationship in which abuse is the main concern. But even those cases have a solution, but the trauma is too strong to stay with one person. I believe that if you're getting married than it should be because you honestly believe that you will stay with someone for the rest of your life. The strongest couples are those that can be in a committed relationship and while they have problems there is always a fix to them.

Starring Role
If I could have the starring role in one film that has already been made, it would be Confessions of a Shopaholic, because I believe I have a shopping problem. I'm not living in a big city like I would love to be living in so I would love that experience. The main character of the movie, which is actress Isla Fisher, is very much like I am. It would be fun to play a similar person and get paid thousands to act like myself. I feel like I will be in debt when I grow up, because I lack self control. But if I was to be in debt, I'd atleast like to laugh it off by being in this movie.
Stranded Island
If I were on a stranded island and could only take one book with me, I would bring with me "Jemima J." It's a book about an overweight British woman dealing with people judging her from appearance and how she decides that she wants to start dating, so she joins a dating website and she finds a man who lives in California. She sends him a picture of a skinny version of herself and he is pleased to know how she looks. He decides that he wants to meet her and he'll even pay the flight ticket for her and she's afraid of what he'll think if he sees an obese woman standing in front of her. She really wants to meet him so she decides that if she wants to meet him, she must lose weight. And once she does she sets out to meet the guy of her dreams. This is one of the best books that I've ever read.
Trading Houses
If I had to trade houses with someone that I knew, I would trade houses with the Doctor that I work for, because it's a two story house out by the lake. I would have so much fun throwing parties with my friends and family on hot summer evenings. They even recently built a dock to sit on in the afternoons. It would open my life up to much more socializing and fun. The best part is that its on the outskirts of Monroe, so it's hidden away nicely.
Back in Time
If I could go back in time as myself to witness any single event from history, I would want to go back to the 70's to hang out with hippies, because although there were things they did that weren't great, for example drug consumption, there were many things that I admired about them. Hippies were free spirited thinkers who did what they felt like doing no matter what anyone thought of them. In a way, they are anarchists in a more peaceful and tranquil way. If I could go to a hippy time period, I would love to learn how to stand up for what I believe in without having to get violence involved.
My First Name
If I could go back in time and choose my own name, I would still pick the name I have, because many people tell me that they like my name and it's just one of those names that explains me. I feel as if the name that my parents chose for me matches the person that I am. Even if I had a choice to choose a name and any name in the world, I would stick with my real name.
